RSS feed

For those of you who use RSS, Atom, or any of the other syndication feeds, I've set up a Feedburner Smartfeed that hopefully should be compatible with your reader. Link should be on the bottom of the sidebar, or your software may be able to automatically detect the feed on this page. Let me know if there are any problems with it.

For those of you who have no idea what I'm talking about, don't worry about it. :)

Thanks Pal. None of the feeds are working for me still though. I'm using the News Plugin for Trillian, and it's not liking them. No biggy.

If you know which versions of RSS or Atom your reader supports, I can set up a separate feed using that version.

It only supports RSS. I've been doing some research on the plugin, and apparently, it only supports RSS 0.9x current. A lot of people have been complaining that RSS 1.0 and 2.0 feeds don't work. So, it's probably just my plugin, as I'm new to RSS (haven't really had a need yet.).

Adding .xml after your shortcut (http://feeds.feedburner.com/covteamevil.xml) helped me to get it working in Sage for Firefox. It still doesn't work as well as the google news or slashdot feeds (which actually produce a folder with all the messages, updated on the fly), but I can browse the site another way now soo...yeah...I think it's a good thing.

Hmm, with the Firefox here at the office (1.0.7, no sage), I can just click on the Live bookmark icon on the status bar, subscribe to the feed, and I get the usual "folder with all the messages, updated on the fly". I'm not sure what would make your installation different.

The posted feed is currently set up as a "Smartfeed" from Feedburner that should use the user-agent string of your news reader to choose the version of RSS/Atom to publish for you. I assume the default format is the one that the original Blogger feed uses, which I think is Atom 1.0. If you want, you should be able to republish the feed through Feedburner a second time using RSS 1.0, RSS 2.0, Atom 0.3, or Atom 1.0.

I'm using firefox 1.5, they must have done away with the live bookmarks on the statusbar, because I do not have that option. It works kinda funny with sage.

Well, at home now it's doing fine with the latest stable version of firefox/sage. Guess that's what you get for being a beta tester. :)
